We here at That's Tough Gaming are excited to announce our Fall '22 and Winter 2022-23 TTG Visionaries micro-grants! There will be one recipient for the fall grant and one recipient for the winter grant. The fall grant amount will be $250 and the winter grant amount is TBA (to be announced when the application for it is opened). A visionary is someone who has ideas about what the future will or could be like.
A TTG Visionary is someone who has ideas about what the future of gaming will or could be like. We created this grant because it is important for us to help build the dreams and the future of our community. There are so many new ideas we should be able to explore, dreams that could be realized, and voices that we should be hearing, but money is a barrier for many and we want to begin working to even the playing field, so to speak.
Applicants for our Visionaries Grants must be:
18 years of age or older,
based in North America, and
fill out the complete application
in order to have it reviewed and be eligible to be a recipient. All Fall '22 applicants may also apply for the Winter 2022-23 grant, even if you are a recipient of the Fall '22 grant. We are doing it this way because these first iterations of the TTG Visionaries grants will be kind of a practice run. The money WILL be granted to a recipient, but right now we are working on perfecting the application process. This is also why the grant amount is smaller. We are hoping to expand that as the application process improves and as we increase our reach across our community and yours. Now for some dates! The application for our Fall grant is now open and will close on December 10th, 2022 at midnight EST. We will make an announcement for our Fall grant recipient on December 16th, 2022. These dates are set and will not be changed. The application for our Winter grant will open on December 17th, 2022, and will close on February 18th, 2023 at midnight EST. We will make an announcement for the Winter grant recipient on February 24th, 2023. The dates for our Winter grant may be changed, depending on feedback and survey responses, so please be on the lookout for the Winter Visionaries announcement in December. In future iterations of the grant, we will also be extending opportunities to join our TTG Creatives crew. Some of the benefits of being an active TTG Creative can include priority to paid sponsored content, stipends to supplement general living expenses, equipment upgrades, and an annual TTG retreat to connect with other TTG Creatives, Visionaries, and competitive teams.
